Steve Ray Vaughan ,Lipsticks over strato styled guitar
frigging-amazing-Soberb Twang sound
Steve arent duncans , they are 3 originals 1966 Dunlop Lipsticks adapted over the strato guitar
He already owns Dano sized lipsticks. What's more, he has no routes at all so it'd be just as difficult to install either Strat sized ones or Dano sized ones. The problem is Dano pickups normally mount from the back, and then have a layer of wood glued over the top so they're inside the guitar. Strat ones are designed to be mounted on a scratch plate, which we're debating whether Hurb should have one or not.
Seriously, read the thread don't add your two cents based on the pictures.
Thanks alot dude! this one went alot quicker, maybe a few hours if i didn't keep stopping. and the fact my band saw blade snapped and i had to replace it didnt help grrrr
cheers mike.
i should note although the ass is basically all jazzmaster on first looks. its actually more exaggerated and slight bigger overall...a small dude would probably be uncomfortable with it. but for a big man sized man like myself i feel it is about spot on! i made it for me and me alone.
DAMN YOU ROCK IT HARD! You used your bare hands to cut that shit didn't ya. You just stared at it hard till it scared itself into the shape you wanted.

I simply grabbed the slab of wood with both hands and shook it till the sides fell off into the shape i wanted!!!!
Considering how jazz bassish it is you might wanna start there, I'm not a huge fan of the jazz bass pickguard, it looks a little squashed on the bass side to me, but you could make it work.
