Design-wise, what do you think?

Painting? Routing? Set-up tips? Or just straight-up making a guitar from scratch? Post here, and post pics!

I was driving behind a mercury today and thought maybe the guitar headstock of your guitar should look sorta like the logo (shape wise)

whatcha think? (no stripes, just the outline of it)

Shit hot, bros. Here's a web site with films about Wayne Charvel making guitars on his own. I haven't watched them yet but I wanted to post before I forgot.

UPDATE!

Aug had to step up and see what all the neck building fuss was all about. Pshaw!

I made a mock up neck out of a pine 2x4 before playing around with a $10 piece of maple.

Image

Note: I profiled this neck with 2 single passes with a huge-ass round over bit.

Granted, maple will take abit longer, I made this neck in 40 minutes. 12-20 hours, pshaw!

Also: dave and I found a hardwoods store that literally has THOUSANDS of rosewood fretboards from the Fender Custom shop that they sell for 5 for $20. We have a new wood supplier!

You should roll with Aug. I've never gotten that vibe from them.

aug, you will love maple, trust me,
its a bitch to carve out and shape but it holds like a limp dick in the face of herpes.
beware of shred out(depending on what method you use)
