I got the body yesterday (excellent packing, btw) and took it in to the shop this morning. Right away, I noticed that there's going to be an issue with the regular-style Fender neck pocket. First of all, to line the neck up so that neck pup is in it's proper position, I'll have to move your elecs/routes back. Also, to keep it from looking stupid, I'll probably have to extend the butt of the guitar about an inch or so.
Here's some pics.
in these pics, you can see that I'd have to either, A.) extend the neck pocket out towards the neck, or B.) move everything else (routes/elecs) towards the butt.

Precise dwarf bravery
The neck on a Super-Sonic sits just a little differently than your average Fender neck. It's a little shallower. Plus it has that peculiar smaller neck plate.Mike wrote:What neck does he want on it? Doesn't a Super Sonic already have a Fender neck?
I think that's what all the hoo hah here is about. If he's going to use a standard regulation Fender neck, there's going to have to be a few adjustments.
(If I can find the camera and remember, I'll try and take a snap while I've got the pg off the SSonic taking out that defective pickup...)

first of all, with the placement of the pups so close to the neck and bridge, *and* needing to move them, I decided on two larger pup routes...this also helps you, as you want the body to be lighter than air.
Also, this body is so tiny, it was difficult to do the contours, but I finally got 'em done.
not sure if you can see it or not, but this is my first pg draft:

Looks amazing! I personally think that the top pickguard line should follow a line simular to the bronco pickgaurd. That is a matter or pure personal choice. What you've got there looks good too. I just love the bronco pickguard for some reason. I put it on all my builds (for some reason.... I don't know).
