Scumbag sparkle refinish

Post by light rail coyote »

Another refin, Im doing as a trade for a drum sander and a 75 pc router bit set.

It's so fucking sparkly and deep. I love it. The perfect color for a disgusting Jackson Floyd Rose monstrosity

I just had to refinish some sort of 80's neck through pointy headstock bass that I nearly did kill. It was definantly a test of patients

for sure do an Quart-saw Curly maple neck Ibanez Style neck and Curly Mapple Scale over it and shark tooths madded of abalone , gotoh Sm-38 tunners Schaller keys styled ...

wow ... its gonna looks amazing
Good Floyd rose can get Gotoh GE1996-T , they are more stable than the official Floyd rose , heavy-weights is the Schallers one

Pickups an SD Jazz on neck and SD Custom / SD JB / SD Full Shred on bridge
wow many things possible ...

Yeah, I like teh sparklez.

Its not my guitar Icey, so I'm just repainting it and putting it back togather. I want as little to do with a Jackson as possible. I kinda feel sleazy working on one

fine lets all burn all types of guitar and use only Acustics ones coz fixed bridge is better in your opinion and all Inovative tremolos is heresy , and better lets all use black tshirts

Overgeneralisation to the MAX.

Floyd Roses suck. Innovation is accepted. But not the Floyd Rose.

And seriously, when was the last time you used your whammy bar?

Floyd rose = complicated shit = not longer having pure goodness. Totally. The less complicated my guitat bridges the better I like them.

Yeah, I just use my Strat bridge to make noises anyway. No dive bombs and shit.

I briefly owned a floyd rose equipped esp guitar. The tuning stability was so awful it really put me off from playing guitar for months. I found the problem in general kind of funny since its the one trem thats supposedly known for staying in tune. Restringing it was a bitch, also sometimes when i would bend down gently a string would literally pop out of the bridge locks. My us strat has schaller locking tuners which are much better in virtually every respect. For the record I don't usually do any divebombs though, i usually just like adding some shimmer to chords and such.

It looks like Freddy Krueger. That's why it sucks. It has zero aesthetic appeal. Or as they say in Buenos Aires, zero.

Some paleo stuck one into a rare, 1980 active SG I worked on and sold. Luckily the buyer ripped it out and stomped on it like a tapeworm.

I love whammies. Lo-o-ove them. But make it cute like the Mustang. Hide the guts and cover it with soft shiny chrome. Even the Strat's is kinda boring. The only winning thing about a Strat trem is the plastic tip. It's so comical. How can you pay $700 for something with a nine cent tip?

I like Floyd Roses. It's not even the tuning stablity that I like, it's the fact that it's a completely different action to a Strat style bridge.

I like strat style bridges too.

My first guitar was a 3rd hand Squire Stagemaster HH (The older style with the pickguard). It had a Floyd Rose in it. After about 3 months of that crap, I got tired of having to loosen the nut to change a tuning (And then have to fine tune afterwards with that little knob on the bottom) and having no idea how to change strings when they inevitably broke, that was the end of that. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing at the time, but I got a standard Strat Trem off Ebay and ripped that Floyd out of the guitar. Did a surprisingly really good job installing the strat trem in the proper place, and it was great from there on out. It actually played better than the Floyd Rose did, even after my ghetto-as-fuck installation.
