Opinions on an Orange AD30

Post by Stangfan »

I was thinking of getting this. http://houston.craigslist.org/msg/532808283.html

Are they worth the money?
Is this a good price?
Anyone have one (hate/love it)?

my friend brian has one. it brings the rock tones for sure.

its very punchy and loud, and it, i dunno, it just sounds wonderful.

they are great amps. worth the money in my opinion.

I love it, and $1800 is an ace price for the head and matching cab, my head cost £715/$1400. I used it on my Spring King demo (not made one of the amp itself 'cause I couldn't get its sound across on my daft mic, but it sounds good on this demo and I've just not got around to making a separate demo;

Definitely do it, that's an amazing price, and if you're not keen (which I highly doubt) you could sell it on for probably more than you've paid on Craig's List. Also, as mewithoutus said; it gets LOUD, but loses no tone for "bedroom"/practice use.

Finally! The guy selling this took forever. He stood me up 9 times in 13 days. I snapped a pic.

I am going to build a 2x12 cabinet and want to clone the orange cabinet.....do you think you could take the back off and take some detailed shots of the interior? If you don't want to I understand. Or maybe some detailed shots of the tolex joints?

I'll get to it this weekend, not a problem.

what's your thoughts on Orange Cabs?
or Mixing matching other cabs with Orange Heads?
