Thx, it actually looks a lot nicer in person than in the pics, Ill post it when is all done! The nut might be a while.... Getting a custom made nut. The fucking single coil came lose when I put it together. Gotta take this bitch apart again...dodgedartdave wrote:Looks great!
If that extra hole woulda been covered, It woulda looked funny.
Looks great the way it sits! Nice job.
yeah, it's like no man's land down there. and using the strat bridge on anything other than a strat is such a cop out.Nick wrote:The cyclone is one of fender's most awkward looking guitars. The bridge location is probably why. Making it look more like a Mustang just makes the space behind the bridge look even larger.

You are welcome. Sucks about the time it took to ship the Damb thing back and forth to Canada. Oh well. Looks great.

I hate to post 3 times in a row....... but WTF? Why not?
After looking at the guitar for a minute, I think that thing would look HOT with white pickup covers, white knobs and with switch cover. For the win, you'd need to go with a White strap. That would be friggin AWESOME.
robroe would love it then.

It's more or less the same deal with the Musicmaster or Duo-Sonic, with their smaller non-trem bridges. I used to notice that, but I'm used to it now. Looks fine to me.Nick wrote:The cyclone is one of fender's most awkward looking guitars. The bridge location is probably why. i actually think the pearl didn't look bad. the mint is ok, but it could use some robroes and a white switch tip.dodgedartdave wrote:yes, but how about the color combo????????bubbles_horwitz wrote:yeah, it's like no man's land down there. and using the strat bridge on anything other than a strat is such a cop out.Nick wrote:The cyclone is one of fender's most awkward looking guitars. umm, stupid question maybe.
Will the Warmoth conversion neck even work on a Cyclone? It was designed to make 25.5" scale guitars 24.75, but is that what Fender did, and will it intonate?
As it is it looks like the 22nd fret is in a MUCH different "place" relative to everything than it was before.
That said, if it does work, it does look better (except for the white HB sticking out like a sore, white penis) If it doesn't intonate, you can always plug everything up and put a Mustang trem wherever you want
