anybody know where I can get an anodized gold pickguard to fit a squire jagmaster. I know it will be expensive, but I still want to find one. It also need it to be modified to fit covered humbuckers as the sock pickguards are a little smaller as they are designed to fit tight around the uncovered pups?

these guys will do custom orders. i was quoted about $100-$120 for a duo-sonic pickguard.
they seem like nice guys. i sent a few e-mails back and forth with them.
considering that new anodized jazzmaster guards go for about $90, it isn't too outrageous.
the only way to get them cheap would be to order thousands from an industrial company.

Awesome, I just emailed them.
I just installed a set og the GFS split coil humbuckers on the jagmaster and it looks great. (don;t have an amp at home right now as they are at the studio) We will see how it sounds later today hopefully. All it needs is the gold guard and a little beating up to make it look awesome.

dude, if you wanted i have that gold guard from my jagmaster that i got a while back, i would have sold it to ya for like 10 bucks,
its for a 24" scale, but it fits your criteria, it looks anodized. its cut for covered humbuckers...
hell i even have the bridge cover things.

If it will fit right on the jagmaster I have then I am all over it. I am not too particular about the condition as I plan on beating this one up for a bit of a relic look. I love the old jaguars that are sunburst with gold that are beat to shit and this is as close as I am gonna come to it.

Call me weird, but I am not a big sunburst fan. I almost didn't but the guitar just on the finish alone, but I really like how it plays, and it is nice to have a guitar that is a little lighter as my mahogany tele is a big heavy bitch. I don't go for the pay 2500 to buy a relic'd strat and shit by any means, I just don't really like that way it looks as is. But with a gold guard and a little "love" it won't be too bad...
