picked it up yesterday

first impressions; the ampeg cab sounds just fine, on the clean channel it's more bassy than the orange ppc212 i was familiar with from the store..also seems like i can turn up the clean channel's volume much more without it breaking up through the ampeg, on the dirty channel i love the overdrive as much as i liked it at the store

with gain all the way up.. it gets real heavy.. but i miss the harmonics and feedback i got out of the ppc212, the ampeg stays 'too nice' to my taste, that being said, i put the great destroyer in the chain and used the more 'normal sounding' fuzz setting and it sounds more raw then, especially through the dirty channel with lots of gain.. maybe i didn't get that much feedback and unpredictable sounds and harmonics because i had to keep the volume down here, i think that has a lot to do with it.. so i can't wait to really crank it at a rehearsal.

also, NEVER get a canon powershot... they suck big time as you can tell from the blurry pictures :(

you know progrock, i almost got this one for free, the retarded chick at taxipost didn't know it was a cod order lol

i'm still excited about the OR50, that chappers guy was going to make a demo at musik messe in march, can't wait to hear more of it and see if people at the orange forum buy it and post their reviews..

i don't regret that i just bit the bullet and got hold of the rocker 30, i've always loved it.. it's just so simple, really a plug and play amp that doesn't need that much tweaking, granted the OR50 is such a looker

I use a tripod (or table top) and the self timer. Turn the flash off....get it focussed, ignore the warning about shake, press the button and let it go.

that's the thing, i can't get it to focus, it's always blurry, then i zoom in and zoom out again and it's sharp for half a second and goes blurry again, i always turn the flash off btw, it's ugly.

i think i'm gonna get something like a cheap lenco digicam, the really tiny model with 32megs or something, it's pretty cheap but never cheap enough and i could use it with imovie for video's

I find the manual focus a lot better than the auto focus on my pa's Minolta.

Fuckin' SWEET setup, Kim. Looks so cool with the Ampeg cab too.

+1. I love it with that cab.

I also think Orange Footswitches are things of beauty.

Obviously different software to my Canon, an old Ixus V3, while sharing the same annoying limitation of about 30 seconds on video. :(
Mine focusses when you press the button half way and shows you where it's focussed with green boxes.

Mmmhmmm. I'd change the pickguard though. Other than that it's awesome.

i wasn't a tort pg fan either (only like it onl black) but i think it works with the sonic blue, maybe it's because i'm used to it.. lefty pg's for mustangs are kinda hard to find so you gotta go 'custom made' *shudder*

what kinda color you thinking ?
