zvex johnny octave or octane III etc
octave up pedals.. would like one, as small as possible
&good
anyone have one ? i wonder if it works with chords and how (on the demo vid the dude only plays single notes at the 12th fret and double stops)
i know the octane is an octave up fuzz like the fulltone ultimate octave whereas the johnny octave is a double octave up, would be cool to have one without fuzz
any other boxes i should be looking at ?

You can't really play them with chords . The fender blender you can to a certain extent but that's to do with the clean mix knob.

but if you would what does it sound like, metallic ?
i wish i could find a store here that has one in stock to test it, i'm giving my pedalboard a facelift
blue box and big muff or out, the oc2's gonna go too
i'm also on the lookout for a smaller delay pedal, the red repeat sounds wonderful but it's such an annoying shape and it's darn heavy

This is my fender blender clone demo

I think there's chords played on it.

A clean octave up would be like a pitch shifter like the boss ps series or a whammy or summit.heavium wrote:i've tried the blender, it takes lots of time to get good sounds, i hate that, i'm not patient

Guyatone MD-3 for the delay. I have one, it's small and great.

New small box Analog Delay:
trim pots inside for modulation depth and rate, switch on the front for on/off
It looks lovely
The MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay features a completely analog audio path for the ultimate in rich, warm delay-made possible only by old-school bucket brigade technology. This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats)-all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. In addition, two internal trim pots offer user-adjustable width and rate control of the modulation for even more tonal options. The Carbon Copy will take you from crisp "bathroom" slap echoes to epic, Gilmour-esque delays with a twist of a knob. True hardwire bypass, single 9-volt operation, and stage-ready blue LEDs round out the package.

nah, whammies... i want something that sounds more organic, less synthy
and the bathroom slap echo in the mxr description i like.. i don't use long delays on guitar, more like inbetween a reverb and echo
I don't know that it existsheavium wrote:Hurb wrote:A clean octave up would be like a pitch shifter like the boss ps series or a whammy or summit.heavium wrote:i've tried the blender, it takes lots of time to get good sounds, i hate that, i'm not patient

some of the solos on those BORIS albums are played with an octave up and it sounds great, cuts through better and it still sounds like a guitar, not like a synth kicking in
i keep watching this vid:

..and i try to come up with a reason to spend 200 on a pedal, i did it for the sansamp (250) but i'm selling that so it'll be like a trade, this box seems like it's closest to what i'm after but it sucks i can't try it myself
