Those holes are fairly normal, and mine has them too to a small degree. They don't bother me though, it's a hell of a player and I love the fat neck.

I would rate the Classic30 ove rthe Valveking anyday:

1. For your usage the Valveking is too heavy and bulky
2. The Valveking is more cheaply made
3. The Valveking has a more nasty US-highgain overdrive channel
4. the Classic 30 just sounds better clean also.

Personally I would recommend either a Marshall JTM-30 or JTM-60. Both awesome amps and meet your criteria. Also it'll be similarly voiced to your 100watt Marshall. I can vouch for both and the clean on either is beyond amazing. The OD channel is really usable too. I used a Rat2 with mine and got some serious tone.

Cheers for that... well today I demo'ed the classic 30 and baja tele.

Loved the amp !!! so I it's purchased... sounds so crisp !! Always been a fan of the peavey amps that I've tried in the past and this is no exception. T

he guitar however, I didn't purchase... just felt the neck was a touch too chunky for my liking, but still a very nice guitar !!!! Having my parents bring down my bro's lovely old fenix jap tele tomorrow... will keep an eye out of another tele which I can call my own. Currently lookin' at Tokai's... :)
