Antigua was made popular because of the Coronado, they had a problem with the binding, so someone got the idea to just paint over the area that was fucked up when the bad binding was pulled off, then they really liked the look and it stuck. So just about every antigua coronado in the first couple years are "mistake" guitars that had bad binding issues.
