Vox AD15VT - My new toy!
As of yesterday. It sounds really, really good and gets really, really loud. Right now I'm using an AC15 and Twin model on each of the 2 channels and an overdriven AC30 in the Manual section (for wailing solo tonesez!!!!).
I've heard some nightmare stories about these things quitting for no reason, so we'll see how it holds up to being banged around the next couple weeks. So far, though, it's totally bitchin'.

UPDATE!! - This thing ruled at rehearsal tonight. Playing with grand piano and drums I only had to put the volume on about 4 and could still be easily heard. I'd almost argue that this 15W 1x8 is as loud as my 65W bandit.
I switched to the Dumble model for solo tonesez cause it has more sustain, but otherwise all my settings and stuff translated very well.

rad. i played a vox pathfinder today at the starving musician in berkeley and it was amazing. i want one for tonez.
the cleans were re4ally great and it had built in reverb and trem. the overdrive channel was crazy good, especially with the nashville tele i was playing. it was only $110 so im thinking of picking one up.
vox just does it, man.

I was chatting to my son earlier, whose flatmate has an ADxxVT (probably AD15VT).
He says it has some sort of gating on it that he can't turn off? I had trouble last night with the gating on one of my pedals screwing things up when I turned down the volume on my guitar, so I can see that could cause an issue. On my pedal, though, I can turn it off.
So, he absolutely hates it. Does anyone have any experienceof this?

I have the 50w version and sometimes, the volume/gain knob act strangely, You need to "re turn" it in to place for the volume to work out fully, usually this happens after twiddling with the gain knob..
But otherwise I like the amp, the amp modeling is cool, my favorite is the AC15, I suppose it was. (the one before Ac30 in the line of 'amps')
I would like to totally bypass the effects, so it acts as a tube preamp with the transistors boost..
But I just need to get a nice 5w cheap tube amp.
