That's basically exactly what I want, but probably a doublecut and either with two pups or one.
I think the gold top isnt that ugly, I especially like the P90s, I was thinking about the Epiphone, cause the Gibson is waaay off my budget.
The thing about the goldtop is that it's like an LP standard with a carved top.
The one pictured is like an LP special/jr. with a flat body. Very stripped down and cheaper.
That Red LP special you posted is part of the Epiphone Japan series, not available to America. You can tell by the headstock shape, it's more like a Gibson and not that ugly shape that epi uses for the Gibson style models.
You can get fingerboard extensions like that on upright basses - freaking brilliant to do it on a guitar. (even though a partial capo would do the same thing)

Thick mahogany body with a full inch thick maple top, which isn't bookmatched but a single piece! Ebony board, duncan JB in the bridge and lil '59 in the neck. Most amazing feeling and sounding instrument I've EVER layed hands on!

Yeah Fender Japan did a good turn of blue and pink paisley Strats and Teles. Possible still offer them.
FUCK ME!
the side jack on that all wood guitar, shit, this sucks, i did that about 3 years ago on my tele, thought i was a damn genius, oh well. it figures.
Ibanez does that standard on a whole series of wanky guitars, not with the strat plate mind you, but with a flush mount jack in the same spot.
I know I've seen it on other guitars before.
You still came up with the idea yourself, even if others were doing it before it was unbeknownst to you, and that counts. Not where patents are concerned though.
LOZL.
This guys was explaining how ESP in Japan makes only totally custom stuff like this and they don't offer any standard models. That was weird to me.
Anyway, I thought MANOWAR was an old dead band, but turns out they're still around and are serious about what they do. I couldn't believe it after listening to their whole album called LOUDER THAN HELL. It was soooo terrible.
Apparently they held/still hold the official record for Loudest Band In The World. DAMMIT.
