. String bar on the headstock, single neck pickup - is it screwed to the body? What more info have you got? Age, condition, etc? Bigger pics? Is that the original p/g?

i just bid on it a few times, someone bid 40, then i bid 45, now i'm at 55, i'm just gonna keep an eye on it but won't go above 100, if the owner contacts me i'm gonna ask for more pics and info

he says it's probably a japanese guitar, the headstock with the stringbar is like my hondo II and it looks like i could leftify it, it looks like a fun little trashy guitar

Ah, mine says "JAPAN" on the neckplate so no "probably" about it. It cost me Â£10 but that was a long time ago...

the striped pickguard breathes teisco but i can't find a teisco that looks like that so it might be a copy of a teisco copy of a copy copy

i was looking around on the net and it always baffles me how awesome the 60's japanese guitars were

I came across fatdawg a few years back looking for Eko. It's just incredible he had all those European guitars in pieces that didn't sell back in the day.

I have a broken Eko Cobra 6-string - neck cracked and I tried an amateur repair.. plus I had gouged a hole for the pickup near the bridge, plus it's spent 30 years in the attic and has checking like crazy. It was like this but sunburst.

If I'd not messed about with it I'd only need a NOS neck from fatdawg... but it only cost me Â£15.

It looks like a 66 Teiso or Teisco made guitar.How are the frets on it?I bought an E-200 a couple of years ago that looked mint in the ad but when I got it it need a fret job(too many loose frets).

A nice example of old 1963 Kawai's who where sold in the late 60's and early 70's as postal order guitars.I've some indications that these guitars(simple version)where sold under the "Shadow"brand.I've them in different kind:bolt-on necks with different thickness and different lenght off neck's.Also different neckplates
right : the most simple version S-70 ;
middle(white) S-70T : a more luxury version(with HagstrÃ¶m Tremar-like tremolo)
left : de luxe version S-80T (sparkle gold,two pu's and tremolo)...and shining on stage as an astoroid !!!

i love the headstock on the goya rangemaster. i played one just like this but red at subway guitars. it was actually a pretty decent playing guitar. i didn't hear it amplified, though.

) .. probably won't be of much use to me anyway.

i have this thing for lousy 60's/70's budget guitars though.. maybe if this one would've had more switches and knobs and pickups i would've done it.

I saw that guitar (or something very similar) at a thrift store for around $70USD. Some of those 60's cheap guitars sound great for blues <------ Just a fun fact.
