As always a good review.. Im getting one for sure, for sure. About recasing, You can take the kicker and mod it to the button (if its a very dumb question, and the answer is yes, Im sorry just want to make sure).. haha, and what do You think about the Blues overdrive, and overdrive pedals by behringer ? Are they horrible, for some very soft, yet crunchy overdrive.

i dont think it was intended to mimic a superfuzz, there's very few pedals out that can do that superfuzz sound. been trying to find one for a while.

love the demo hurb me ole boy, beringher pedals are really wicked for the beans, i'm using their blues driver clone, as it sounds slightly better than my blues driver and it was a tenner!!

you been working out matey? your looking quite trim these days:D
The Boss Hyperfuzz was supposed to be based on a Univox Superfuzz albiet updated. That's why they called it Hyperfuzz, instead of Super like all other Boss pedals, because there already was a Superfuzz. Behringer also called the Hyperfuzz clone a Superfuzz. That's why I said what I said.

There is also a pedal by Voodoo Labs called Super Fuzz, which I used to own that is related to a Jordan Bosstone type fuzz with expanded controls, but again does not sound like a Univox Superfuzz.

The only person I've seen making decent Superfuzz clones is

http://www.pedalslam.com/Oldpedalslamwe ... _fuzz.html

i don't think he makes them anymore, or shut it down for awhile

this is a copy of the boss fz-2 http://www.bossarea.com/loadpage.asp?file=boxes/fz2.xml
but it's cheap and easy to get(unlike the boss)

I put in on my youtube instead of shortscales as The gain boost doesn't sound as good on the vid as it does irl(mic placement probably) the fuzzs came out too bassy i think too.
I don't want to put up any sub par demos on shortscales at the moment for obvious reasons *ahem* if youse guys think it sounds OK though I will put it up on shortscales. my ears are tripe.put irl i fuckin love this thing it great. I never had a problem with behringer pedals but was always weary of dirt box's from them..I think dirt box's need to be more analogue than digital...but I guess I was wrong as this thing sounds fookin fab! I loves it!
Edit: just put it on shortscales youtube seen as how you have said nice things

edit: I also had major problems with moviemaker cutting loads of the video so thats why it cuts in funny places grrrrr!! fuck movie make!
Great demo man!

What's that riff at 4 minutes?
I know that song but I can't remember what song it is.

hah, nah.

i was talking about the analog delay. i think it would look great in a custom box. i dont think its snobby.
I wear my behringer colours with pride!
hah. i would totally silkscreen behringer on the box.

THESE COLORS DONT RUN

Nice work - I've been eyeing one of those up, and may well take the plunge now. I've been wanting to get some sort of superfuzz clone (as well as those mentioned above, there's also the Black Cat Superfuzz and the MJM China Fuzz) but this one looks pretty good for about 20% of the price. As a matter of interest, is there any upper octave action, like on a proper Superfuzz - I can hear some nice low octave?

a very famous genesis tribute band called the musical box (officially backed by the band) used a boss fz2/fz3 to recreate steve hacketts superfuzz/tonebender sounds until they got the real pedals.
