I've always loved the P90's, really punchy and in my opinion sound sweet in the neck position
And the Power Rail i know is based on the DiMarzio X2N

how would a punchy P90, and a super high output PR sound together?
Would it just be something to avoid or something worth spending 80 bucks on

i have a DiMarzio X2N, it sounds raunchy as hell, alot of people say the clean tones suck on it but its not half bad
also has a fair bit of feedback but thats something i can manage w/

I have a power rail on my hyper-sonic. It sound really nice when cranked up. The cleans are ok, but they aren't glassy smooth. They still have a tiny bit of breakup when played loud. overall great pickups for the money.

honestly the mighty might p-90s sound MUCH better than the gfs.
and they are cheaper by about 10 bucks.
p-90s all the way! great cleans, fantastic with overdrive, and it can hand high gain distortion fairly well, still has good clarity and whatnot.
