Seeing as you clearly don't know what you're talking about, and haven't played a Baja Telecaster, it's probably best if you don't comment on it.bubbles_horwitz wrote:'62 reissue. the baja is lame in that everyone owns/wants a blackguard tele.
actually, i'm not sure if they come in other colors or not. if they do, that might be a solid choice actually. hell, it's a tele. you can't really go wrong.
You can get it in a different colour scheme and it's on a par with guitars that cost over twice what it does. I don't see what possible argument there could be for that being "lame". It's a custom shop design with good pickups, a great neck and a cracking bridge for £400. That's insane.
Yeah, no offense Mike but you look stupid now. Bubbles just said "the baja is lame in that everyone owns/wants a blackguard tele". Hell, he goes on to say "hell, it's a tele. you can't really go wrong". Let's not forget the fact that when he ponders whether solid colours are available, he comes to the conclusion that "if they do, that might be a solid choice actually". And you just totally presumed he had never played one.bubbles_horwitz wrote:haha, did you even read beyond "the baja is lame"?
and seriously mike, how do you know what guitars i have and have not played?

The Price, Malik. The Price of it makes it an instant forerunner when compared to the other guitars. Since it's on a par with them in terms of quality and sound, and costs less than half as much.
but yeah I didn't read the rest of his post. The Baja telecaster is not "lame" in any way shape or form, and saying it is means I don't read the rest of that post. That, is the rules.

i have played them and know that they are decent guitars, which is why i said in my first post that it would be a solid choice. it's just that the only one's i've seen/played at guitar center have been blackguards.
and i'm not sure what "lame" means in the uk, but here in southern california it would hardly be considered hate.
i'm sorry for thinking the '62 is cooler. and no, not because of any perceived difference in quality. i just think it's generally a cooler version.

Wtf are you on about? Nobody here is dissing the Baja, everyone's just saying it rules and you're defending it? Drop your weapon sir. It's no different from me saying "the LP is lame in that everyone has one", of course that doesn't make it not good.Mike wrote:The Price, Malik. and mike, he was looking at a cij, so the price wouldn't be all that different.

But Les Paul's ARE Lame. I think your Skinny Jeans might be too tight. If you're taking me seriously they definitely are.Malik wrote:Wtf are you on about? I dunno how much CIJ ones are, I can never actually navigate the Fender Japan sites properly. I can't find the "SHOW ME FENDER GUITARS" link cos it's all in a weird language.bubbles_horwitz wrote:and mike, he was looking at a cij, so the price wouldn't be all that different.
