Jazzmaster neck swap

my buddy swapped the neck on his jazzy with an all maple from a mexi strat with heel adjustment for truss rod, as the kinds quite few and far between cause it made a nice difference sound and playability and I'm very much considering doing the same, would ideally want a jumbo headstock though cause they just look awesome imo

So are strat necks that would fit properly rear, I was under the impression the the heel is a bit different, apparently flatter? Like a tele maybe? That could be interesting a tele neck on a jazzy, would look pretty ugly though, or awesome, perhaps ugly awesome.

a tele neck wouldn't fit without a severe modification to the guitar.
a strat neck should fit no problem.
