Mr Majeekas Dave's shreddin' older brother had an 8280, wellll good. If you turned the chorus dials all the way down, it turned into a footswitchable volume boost. Hell yes. Sounded nice too.
yeah that's the slightly more advanced one with Chorus innit. Those amps are fuckin' solid, and they sound gewd.

Mike wrote:Space Echos are bulky and unreliable, I dunno if I could be arsed with one. Radiohead are in a unique position that they have lots of money and people to look after their shit. For any other band I think they'd just use the RE-20 for it all if they liked the sound of it.
true. i dont know if i would want to deal with a space echo either.

that univox echo chamber tape echo i got is a real pain in the ass, and i havent even got it working fully yet. it needs a lot of work. it almost isnt worth it. i guess if someone likes the sound that much, more power to 'em.

i'll take the pedal, thanx.

even if it wasnt a space echo replicator type deal, i would still be interested in getting one because of the sound and the cool features. the expression pedal in, the twist mode, tap tempo, the cool color scheme, the reverb/delay, all that stuff really appeals to me.

I totally thought ya'll were talkin' about the Electro Voice EV RE-20 mic, that Thom uses in one of their new videos... Which now means, that anything with Re-20 in the name is balltastic?

i had one, and it was very nice for being solidstate (tube pre). i probably would've kept it around longer had it come equipped with a speaker out. always thought that was pretty stupid to leave out.

That's not true at all. It does way more in the way of Tape Echo than a DD-20 (I used to own one). And it's all adjustable in front of you, no menus or presets.

Less powerful as it does one thing yes. But it's less powerful in the same was as a real Space Echo is not as powerful as DD20.

But yeah I was on two waiting lists for 3 months before I actually found mine by walking into a store.
