Anyone any idea what starcasters are actually worth?

Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

i imagine it would be tough to do without having access to an original.
even just the neck would be cool.

In theory couldn't it be possible to enlarge a photo like that to scale, so big that the neck would fit in the pocket, in order to get a tracing from?

In theory?

Yes in theory.

but you would have to find the EXACT point to take the photograph from to get it dead on center, so that there is absolutly no angle at with you are taking the picture from. the would have to be perfectly parallel, the camera and the guitar, and the camera would have to be in the EXACT center point of the guitar. for it to be perfect

hell someone could draw their own template really as long as it isn't a fucked as a 60's jap jag copy

if you find the full size version, do you think you could shoot me off a copy?

Totally, I have Duo Sonic, Custom, Maurder and National Newport 88 (Map Guitar) all from traced photographs. It's just sort of time consuming, but if you know some simple numbers (scale, pocket dimensions, string spread) you cam get it to witin 1/2% accuracy. Then you just groom the geometry until you hit it. I think I also have CBS Headstock dimensions that I gave to plopswagon. Can't remember for sure.
