It looks better now that it has the laquer on it. It's actually grown on me. Still not my thing, but it's charming in a country way. Very impressive work Dave. How long does it take you to do something like that?

It use to take hours. Now I can do something about the size of a picgaurd in an hour or 2. Leafs and flowes take a long time. Other stuff goes quicker.

Ya, the Laquer really makes it pop. The pictures doing do it justice. The Roses are embossed and stand up about a 1/4 inch off the rest of the gaurd. It'll look great as it wears and gets old!

I finally found something that looks like what I was trying to describe awhile back

Image

The one I saw was a custom shop model that was suppose to match a pair of cowboy boots lolololllllolololo.

Then you wouldn't have posted it.

I think your belts and straps actually look cool Dave, but not a fan of the PG's or spamming.

so did anyone else notice that dave posted the same bronco guard twice, just on two different guitars?
or...... are you just really good at making the same thing?
kudos on the belts and straps, the guards, not my style.

There is several different processes for the color. The white one, I used a water-based acrilic that is special for leather. The white one is my favorite strap. The one problem with it is that i finished the back, making the back kinda slick. It's better to leave the back raw leather for a strap. Live and learn.
