tru, i think it owuld have been cool if they did the hidden pickup idea on the electric 12, altho that would have alienated the buying public all the way.
i did the hidden pickup thing and on a 12 string it would seem to make more sense becuz you are basically trying to get all 12 strings to sound rather than picking out a particular one or pair.
