Where GFS gets most of its pickups

This looks like most of the GFS line-up. Looks similar to some "Duncan Designed" pickups too. I bet it's the same place in Korea making pickups OEM to spec for whoever orders them.

I wouldn't be surprised. Artec do good stuff and all those Mod Boards GFS sell are made by them.

I have an Artec analogue delay and it cost my like £40. Sounds nice.

I have no doubt, I just did some googling and I found a thread where somebody took apart one of their GFS single coils and it said Artec on the bobbin.

Nice. I wonder if Artec make those Wilkinson pickups too?

It would be nice to know who Artec are. If they are one of the Western owned Korean operated companies or wholely Korean.

I wonder if their FX peedles are any cop? It's easy to be lulled into a false sense of security with the big stomper and metal jacks..

That said, my Double Drive has a "fake" stomper which just clicks down on a microswitch on the PCB and it sounds great and doesn't seem to have a terrible bypass or nowt.

Seems like it's a Korean operation.

All the mangement names are Asian, and the main address is also Korean.

I bet that they even wind pickups in China too, all the Korean OEM's that are guitar related not only do work in Korea but also open up plants in China to take advantage of their labor force.

I have the 3440ms analogue delay. Tis cool. Does everything you expect an analogue delay to day. Not dark sounding either. Certainly work the £40 or so I spent.

I'm tempted to pick up the tremolo when I can, I'm beginning to hate the Marshall Vibratrem I've got- the mother fucker doubles your signal in tremolo mode. Although it DOES have internal trims for tweaking the rise/fall time, which is neat.

This is how you get the hookup by doing a group buy.
If someone here was willing to organize it all, we could order a few hundred of these pickups and get them dirt cheap.
