Fender Vibro King

Does anyone know anything about this amplifier? In the process of searching for various Fender Products for my project, I ran into this attractive looking baby (surf green!!!). I've never seen this type of amp before. Has anyone here ever played on one?

I played a regular Vibro King at a store about a year ago. HEAVENLY CLEAN TONEZ. It was magical, but the price was really high.

my aim buddy from another forum has that exact same amp. I'll see if he can come on and post about it.

anything specific you want to know? i have this exact amp. it's awesome, and very worth the money i paid for it.

the only things i dislike about the amp are the tremolo circuit, and that it was more than i've ever spent on a single piece of equipment ever.

the tremolo is okay, it just doesn't have a ton of range. doesn't get fast enough or slow enough for me.

i use it for surf, rockabilly, punk, indie rock, noisy music with tons and tons of pedals, and it holds up well live at higher volumes.

it DOES start to compress around 4 on the volume knob when boosted, but there is still a good deal of headroom there. i wouldn't throw hot humbuckers at it and expect pure clean tones of course...

anyway, if there's anything else you want to know, ask

vibro kings are bad ass. i used one on an ep we made several years ago. really lush. the vibrato was tricky to use, but we made it work.

are these the ones with the fender outboard reverb unit incorporated into the circuit?
