Someone who lives near me is selling a Crush 30R for cheaps so I was wondering if anyone had experience with this model in particular? I remember Cowbell reviewed the Crush 10w and he really liked it, anyone else have opinions on these? I'm not expecting much considering their price.
Thanks.

I actually own the 30R and use it in band practice all the time. For it's size/wattage it gets really damn loud, but you do have to crank it a bit in order for it to be loud; the volume, level and gain are usually set at 3 o'clock. I was really blown away by how powerful this is...I think you could possibly gig with it. (even clean cranked still stays pretty clean and heard).
For the situation I'm in (three piece classic rock band) it gets plenty loud for everyone to hear, but has a very nice clean/overdrive for a solid state.
For the $200 I spent, it was very well worth it and I love it. Especially great for line-out recording.

Forgot to mention the spring reverb, yes. It's very nice and warm sounding.posaydal wrote:I have one of these and it's pretty decent, though it doesn't get much play now I can play my valve amp at home. It can get petty loud as Chrismo said, and it pretty much stays clean too.
I think the spring reverb on it is quite nice too.
Hmm, I'm unsure now, I don't want to get an amp and then feel like I need something better. I sold my Laney LC15 when I was unemployed, I like the clean sounds but distortion was poor. Are there amps that can do both sounds? I like The Smiths clean sonds but I also like Smashing Pumpkins distortion
