alright, so i just went to go play some good ole guitar, but when i stepped on my stereo memory man, the sound went dead.
it works fine in bypass mode, but when i try to turn it on, no sound. i put in the the stereo output too to see if that worked, and it was just loud static instead of nothing.
and i know that it's powered. the light is on, but it seems to be doing pretty much what it would normally be doing.
this is shit. i was about to record some tracks, but can't do it without the mm.

alright i opened it up to check the connections to the footswitch and they look fine.
but i do notice that the solder on the main output looks like it may have been worn down.
more importantly, i notice that there are three prongs on the power thing, but only two wires soldered on.
are there supposed to be three?
also, it looks like theres some tape or something plastic on one of the wires, but that's going to the light, which works, so i'm assuming that's not the problem.

i dont know. i had the green russian pedals. and we literally drove a truck over them.Sloan wrote:YES!vivadeluxxe wrote:It happened because EHX stuff is badly put together, unreliable crap...
I'm glad someone else realizes this.
I can't believe I paid $50 for the russian big muff a long time ago. it's like a bigass box with some shit in it. what.
but tires don't do much damage except crack knobs and bend the color switch on the small stone.
that big clunky button of a footswitch was awesome.

I've owned 3 EHX pedals...
The Russian Small Stone died after a couple of years...
The USA Big Muff broke two days after I'd got it home from the shop...
My Small Clone stopped working during a gig, aged 6 months...
That's pretty toss considering my MT2 is 15 years old and been gigged like fuck for all of that time and still works like the day I bought it...

But how much action do your pedals see? Do you gig and rehearse with them on a regular basis?
Maybe the postmen fuck around with EHX stuff when they get shipped over here, like put their schlongs in the input jacks and that.
I dunno how long my Polychorus lasted before the switch went iffy.. just replaced it and stuck it on eBay. Hopefully my new Pulsar ain't gonna shit the bed in the same way..

have another spare somewhere. It's just not a great bypass to begin with, either.
