Starcaster
Ok, wtf is a starcaster? Looks like a strat... Seems like it'd be a Squire...
Linksies
Crazy headstock option. I dig the silver burst & black headstock, tho.

fender tries to put itself at every level of the market so they don't get pushed out by someone selling something cheaper than them. They have their professional quality (fender), they have their student quality (squire) and they have their super dirt cheap ebay shite (starcaster). this way they can compete at every level in the market.
the good thing about fenders is that theyre mostly all modular.
if one thing is shit, you can replace it with a less shit part.
i love it, which is why i keep messing with my strats.

True but it is silly when everything is pretty bad. You might as well buy a squire or get a good deal on something slightly better on ebay. The sad thing is that in all the starcasters I've seen the tremolo arm has broken off inside the block rendering the tremolo useless (even if the strat trem isn't very interesting to begin with).

hehehe, yea, all I like is the paint. I would expect anything cheap to be for beginners or people w/o amps.Mr.Ripley wrote:True but it is silly when everything is pretty bad. hah yeah my brother has one of those cheap ass starcasters, the one with the pointy headstock in CAR, and the same thing happened to me when i played it, tremolo arm snapped right off in the bridge.Mr.Ripley wrote:True but it is silly when everything is pretty bad. The pickups are so much better than Coros, and the styling is soooo amazing.robert(original) wrote:i got to play a couple starcasters at the chicago music exchange and i liked them better than the coronados i played.
they seemed.... better in some way.
plus the cock stock is way cool,
its the only fender headstock that makes me puke and smile at the same time.
