El Moco Revisited

Post by roachello »

I finally got a picture of my friend Steve's guitar!

This past weekend, our department had a whole week exhibition on the upcoming Junior Industrial Designer's projects. If I had more time aside from a weekend's notice of making the display, I would've done something more epic than PVC piping and foam board.

But here's my rival guitar of my good friend Steve. The finish is immaculate! He used a single stage paint and bondoed the body like hell to get rid of the wood grain (he used plywood, mine is alder). Unfortunately, he wasn't able to get things to work which reminds me... I need to make a demo for the El Moco's lipstick + P90. So here's pix of our displays and rivaling guitars.

I like the green, mang! What does el moco mean? Are those household percussion instruments on the wall there?

Steve's is interesting, but he has nothing on you. I like the idea of angularity but it's so stark.

Not to mention his scratchplate is so half-arsed.

But when you need to pop open a really really really big beer, you are set. "Here, lemme get that for you. PFSSST."

Do I see a Hye Mi Lee there on the left? The original name of the lead singer of Joybox(yeah, the 6'0" former model) was Hye Mi (sounds like the English hemi). Miro was her nickname, "Hye Mi" being a rather generic (but not hokey) girls name we threw out early in the game. SHMALL WORLD.
