NEwfuzz w soundssss
BUt instead I built a new fuzz. This one is transistor based (ooh I'm a rebel) when its done it wil ahve 4 knobs and 4 switches WOW thats a lot.
It can sound like a computer puking out sound, or a fender blender on some settings. It has wierd compression sometimes too, so when you hammer away on the strings it's quiet, and then when you let go, your volume fades up. But not usually. You can totally use it to blast power chords into peoples frightened ears. And of course it oscillates! Why not? Said oscillation is planned to be footswtchable. And I call it
SHIVA!
It starts with a shortscale booster (which started with a LPB) the ohter two gain/nastiness stages are totally experimental. For all I know, it might be a fuckedd up fuzz face. Anyway, I'm pretty excited. Sound samples coming Sewn.

I love it already, 'though Hindus might be dismayed to hear that "Shiva" sounds a lot like the f-word in Korean. I reckon more nasty goodness on the way, keep us posted, mang.aen wrote:

aen wrote:hmmmm, how do you say the f word in korean...
The word in question is shibal. Pronunciation of the first syllable is close to the English "she", but the long "ee" sound is half way between she and shi, as in teh shitz. "bal" is very hard for Westerners to pronounce as the Korean "a" is made near the front of the mouth (unlike the throaty a in "ball"), the Korean "l" made when the tongue curls up and touches the roof of the mouth...Whereas the terminal "l" in English is formed when the throat opens up as the tongue lies flat.
To an English speaker, the "l" is somewhat concealed behind the tongue, which is why it sounds like shiva. For example:
NEVER USE THESE AROUND A KOREAN:
shibal! - F*$K!
shiballom-a! - Hey, you f%#&#r!
(ee) shibal sekki! - (You) F*%#@*^g SOB!
I'll be honest, someone eventually naming a pedal shibal sekki would be pretty cool, having a colloquial connotation of "Badass MOFO". I'd help you with a sound byte if you needed an audio pronunciation aid someday for a demo, Aen.

But if I hear one backwards delay effect..
HOORAY FOR NEW PEDZ, AEN! I'm so proud to call your ours. You should try and get some boxes to Reznor, now I know an insider in NIN
OH FUCK! I emailed Shawn form analogue Haven, since he is THANKED in the new nin albumn credits, and told him to offer Trez special edition pedals. And also sock daring or cat box cleaning. Serieously, If I got DDevices in the NIN studo or stage, I would probably poop in my pants again.
