I think we all heard you loud and clear.

You also said you wanted to use the gibson as a better bargaining tool for a trade, and not sell it outright. I already broke it to you best I could, as someone who has worked in a music store for several years, I can tell you that you will NOT get $1000 for a guitar that they will maybe flip for $1100 or even $1200.

+1

In fact he might even be offered less for the ES333 than for the other 2 guitars together.....

Aeon wrote:As I said I've had them posted on craigslist for a little over a week now, with a few responses here and there. I'd be happy to sell them for $500 a piece, but I'm afraid that if I wait too long that Jazz is gonna be sold before I can place the downpayment. I just seem to think that the ES-333 would be a better bargaining tool. I also have done a little websurfing, and 1100 seems to be the going rate for them nowadays... they are a discontinued model.
craig's list won't usually fetch the same price as ebay. it's usually considerably less on most things.

A silver lining to the story:

I paid the layaway cost on the Jazzmaster and sold the Mustang. I also just sold the Jaguar today on craigslist -- to a nice guy who could only pay $200 upfront but agreed to $50 weekly payments until its been paid off. (Don't worry, I got his name, address, and driver's license -- plus he seems like a legit dude.)

So once I get my first big paycheck, she will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine.
