Ok this is the best thing I've ever found in a Pawn Shop.
So I was driving my friend around to pawn shops so he could look for a cheap acoustic. We hit a bunch of shops and found nothing so we were going to call it quits. On the way home we passed a shop we didn't know about so we decided to stop. I'm glad we did. Inside I found a Candy Apple Red Japanese Jaguar. It's covered in stickers, missing a grub screw, and might need a refret, but I got it for $225.
It needs a good cleaning but I dont think it's in too bad of shape under all those stickers. I'll put up more pics when I get it cleaned up.
Before:
Proof of the awesome dealz.

about 4 years ago there was a white cij jag in the pawn shop in town for something like 150.00 bucks, the local guitar shop bought it and sold it to some guy in maryland.
i remeber being in a pawn shop in dayton ohio and i saw an early 70s mustang and a 60's newporter(something like that)
and i thought they were the coolest(they were bothe under 250.00)

Well I kinda got it cleaned up. The rhythm circuit works, but if I turn the rhythm circuit off nothing works. The neck pickup sounds pretty nice, though. I'll have to figure out what's up with it.
I still can't believe I got it so cheap.
Here it is cleaned up, I can't decide if I want to leave the Thundercats sticker on it or not.

dude. score of the century!
some little punk rock burnout mustve needed a dime bag.
bless his little plaid heart for being the only kid on earth unaware of ebay.
all other pawn shops are just filled to the gills with black squier strats.
no goodies like this, or even wonky 60's japanese weirdo guitars.

huh? this is the first time I've ever heard this. anyway, if you are under 18 you should be trying to break as many under 18 restrictions as possible. I mean, what are they gonna do to you? you're under 18.Mo Rocca wrote:LEAVE THUNDERCATS!!!! great find by the way. i wish i could go into a pawn shop (dont you have to be 18?)

All the pawn shops up here seriously suck when it comes to guitar stuff. They all seem to think that their guitars are somehow worth more than what reality has to offer. I often see $500 squiers, $800 MIM standard strats and teles. The other day I saw a pawn shop with some of those ultra-cheap plastic Danelectro pedals and they wanted $150 a piece. And its no use to try and negotiate. I have no idea what some of these dudes are smoking.
