Like Serviceman guitars I will never understand why people tolerate let alone covet it. Wow my guitar is completely unplayable and a piece of shit/Wow this is a really ugly stupid finish.

Do not want.
Careful, you sound like you're comparing an truly excellent Tele w/ a finish you don't like to guitars that are, in fact, crappy. I've got a Fralin bridge p'up, Callaham brass compensated saddles, all cloth wire w/ US Fender electronics & 4-way switching. Add to that, a set of Jag. knobs and it whoops up on MOST other Teles I've played. I could give two shits what folks think of the color - I love it, it's what caused me to pick it up in the first place, but thats neither here nor there.

silly drasp, dont you know? tone is in the color of the paintjob!

solid colors are more mid heavy, brighter solid colors are louder, dark solid colors have more gain, natural and see through finishes have a more "organic" sound, and antigua sounds like avocados.

i've seen some antiguas i don't mind all that much, but it seems like every cij antigua is way too yellow/green.
not that i'd ever want to own one. i mean, why would i want to waste my time with antigua when there are such awesome colors like sonic blue, surf green, lake placid blue, burgundy mist, ice blue, seafoam green, shell pink, black, desert sand, blonde, etc.

The Truth has entered the building.

Kudos on your guitar, but seriously, don't list having cloth wire as a plus. I mean - Je-sus Christ.

i dont want to make this an antigua hate thread, but even the name antigua sounds yucky. sounds like a weird strain of ebola.

"...and in Cancun, a strain of ebola known as Ebola Antigua has broken out and claimed the lives of several hundred spring breakers..."

Breaking springs sounds like a strange way to make a living. String breakers - well, yeah. I'm sure we have a few on this forum.

There's nothing wrong or right about cloth wire or plastic wire or whatever. It's sodding wire.

Many a guitarist has been led down the wrong path, you're not beyond redemption yet.

the perportions in this photo look completely fucked up. like the telecaster looks half the size of a normal guitar, the line6 in the front looks double the size and the yellow mop bucket in the back looks tiny.
