For some reason the spring in this thing seems stiffer than either the CIJ or AV trems I've played... Which is I guess up to preference.
But what I really like about it is that looking at the overall placement of things, at least the way mine was manufactured, there is NO way the E strings can ever contact the screws (which has made the success rate for installing high E strings on both other trems miserable, even when taking precautions of shoving something between the screw and the string wraps).
Anyone notice this about Allparts trems, or is mine some kind of nice fluke? The operation of it is much nicer than the CIJ trem (which liked to squeak and bind on upbends), about on par with the AV... The arm feels much more firmly planted than the CIJ (of course not more than the AV, and not as if those bushings aren't sketchy and it still will probably wear out but...)
I then cheated and put the old CIJ plate on the Allparts tailpiece/blade/spring, so it now has a tremlock and looks right, lol.

(And also the fact that WD Music sells a (logoless but totally tremlock'd) one for sixty fucking bucks WITH an included bridge and cups, and I can't believe no one's at least bought one of those to fuck around with yet...)
