THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IM GOING FOR! minus the chrome control plate and matching stock.
plus my tort is a lil bit darker than that, but thats exactly it!
i made up another rivers como guard last night along with the guard for my fender XII project, i used the Fender XII guard as a tester guard before i did shit to robs guard just to make sure that shit was set right, its still really weird trying to get around the shop in a completely different manner.
i'll post up some pics at the end of the day.

i made up the guard, as a tester really, but its kinda cool, and i might keep it depending on the bridge situation.
the fit of the neck and guard is PERFECT, thats the only reason i may keep it.
so here are some more crap photos of a crap project that will probly never get done, cuz im crap like that.

so i gave the body to a friend who does auto paint stuff and i gave it to him without sanding it at all and just said " im going to relic the body so don't make it look too nice."
well guess what, he made it look too nice,
there were a few spots that were nice n fuct up but it was WAY better than i expected.
i have started the first phase of relicing the thing, after i get done with this phase im going to shoot some white paint over the top and then mist some clear coats on it before i relic it some more.
at any rate, here are som snap shots of the thing.

the guard is half bronco, half jaguar, half jazzy, and part crap, so.... that pretty sums it up.

the sound from that's going to be pretty weak if the pups are under the guard.

not really think about this real fast.
on a squire jagmaster the neck sits about 5.5 mms over the pg
with the neck and guard in place my neck sits 3.2 mms over the guard, and since its a 12 string with buckers that will be about 7.8(or so) mms from the strings it should have a nice haunting jingly sound to it.

thats a fellow named jim,
its a 72, it has a brass truss rod cover that says "custom made for fred purdue"
the neck pup is a tele bridge pup(but it sounds good honest)

besides that and one knob everything is original, oh and the frets just got replaced.

12 strings are a trip, its like a 6 string, but with 6 more strings!
i made a temp of the neck cuz it felt so good, i would like to made a modern day 10 string or 12 string with the neck temp. but that is down the line from now.
