if it's the one i'm thinking of, then it's a custom shop mustang.
it belongs to a guy in a band, i forget who and what band. robroe interviewed the guy and it's in the wiki. or at least it used to be.
if you want to dig thru my public photobucket account you can find photos of the guitar hilary took while laying in thier road cases. casey opened them up special just for the interview photos.....but then they never got used for the interview. not sure why... anyways im too busy to dig them up right now. just go to photobucket.com and search robroe. you will find them eventually if you really want them. both the comp green and the comp fiesta/blockd
That is seriously my favorite guitar ever. He has... or had, a shit ton of really sweet shortscale guitars that he was telling me about that he sold to buy a house.
He gave the comp-fiesta red one to Jeff from Say Anything (he played with hot rod on a couple tours before joining Say Anything full time).

I've never heard of this guy... is he famous?
They will pimp CIJ's like they did with shakira's. But Casey's are completely custom built. He paid a lot extra for it.
I don't understand why Fender doesn't want to do Mustangs in its regular custom shop runs... they do Jags, don't they? sometimes I think Fender is hung up on the fact that it's a "student" guitar. If they did a run of "thin skin" mustangs, I'm sure people would snap them up.
if you read the interview i did, Casey says that the guy that made his mustang was making telecasters for prince.
i think once you get high enough up the food chain at the factory that you are talking to the dude thats building shit for prince, pretty much sky's the limit with what you can have done.
you just gotta pay a ton of money and wait a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time to get what you want.
I wouldn't say Casey is famous by any standards. he is a touring musician that works his ass off every night though.
