I'm so pumped by this shit. That finish looks so nice under light, the shiny bits just make it so unique, so nice. I can't wait to see this thing with a neck, I can't help but love the body more and more each time I see it!

Two volumes with master tone would be favourable. Fuck adjusting tone, that's what the amp's for, I'm all about the toggle switching action and blending and shit.

Rob, do you have a neck lying around that you can briefly put on this thing so I can see what it'll look like complete? That'd be nice.

there is a slight problem with the pickguard.

when you drop the toggley in there, it forces the pickguard up about 1cm towards the top horn. this forces the pickguard at the neck pocket up by 1cm. everything else on the pickguard lines up fine including the bridge and all the controls n shit.

this leaves us a couple options.

1. re cut a pickguard the exact same shape with the hole for the toggley up about 1cm
2. sand out the hole on the pickguard for the toggley, throw a washer over it on the top so it doesn't look like shit and call it a day
3. dremmul sand the pocket for the toggley down about 1cm
4. sand off the top on the lower neck butt, leave the space on the upper neckbutt

choice 4 would take me 10 seconds: you would have a pickguard gap on the upper part of the neck

choice 3 would take me about 10 minutes: it would look 100% cosmeticly but have a bigger hole for your toggley underneath

choice 2 would take me 2 minutes: you would have a bigger washer around the toggely by 1cm, it could possibly look retarded i don't know.

choice 1 is up to dave

honestly i think shaving the hole on the pickguard up 1cm would be best. then the rest of the local screw holes will line up as well. ill just have to find the perfect washer for it.

Yeah, if you can find the washer go for it, that sounds like the easiest method fo' sure.. The Dremel option sounds nice, but I don't want you to get it out if you don't need to. I'm not too bothered by having sloppy routing underneath, as long as it all looks pretty on top.

I personally would widen the hole for the toggle under the pickguard. I think a washer is going to look shitty.

I agree. The hole needs to be a bit larger. This is the type of problem that happens when a guitar is built without all the parts. It's an easy fix though.

Yeah, I figured that'd be the reason. I can't imagine the difference being that big, I suppose it's just a fat toggle switch and a bit of wood needs chopping away.

I would definitely not ask for another pickguard to be made, that's already the second one, Dave made a new one after I said I wanted three knobs on the guard, not two and a jack. As if I don't already, I really owe you one for that, very noble of you.

It hasn't. Shit happens. this is one of the easy fixes though, just make the route accept the toggle, it will be invisible and not effect anything.

i woke up early this morning, went out on the front porch (before the ungodly buffalo summer heat sets in) and worked on the guitar a bit.

finished routing out the toggle cavity. everything lines up good.
soldered leads to all 4 points on the toggle. now i need some new pots to get everything going.

LIST OF SHIT WE STILL NEED.

3 pots MINI SIZE cuz of the jack being all up in there n shit
1 cap for the tonez
3 knobs
6 ferrules
1 neck
6 tuners
6 tuner bushings
1 string tree
