Mike, are you still doing the boosters? If not, I'll fuck off, the idea has been growing on me especially after seeing all the awesome demos, so I thought it was worth asking. I think I'm a bit of a Hurb, I don't really think I need it, but the mojo and Mike-factor are a draw, and I think I might just end up liking it. If it's a no, just consider me a dead cert for your next project, along with the rest of Shortscale no doubt. ;)

I'm trying to stop building them because I'm fed up, but people like you and Robert keep coming out the woodwork insanely late and expressing interest. it's irritating because I have to now place another order and pay shipping from Germany for the hardware parts and housings if I build any more, so I need absolute certainty (not Malik-style I think I want that but I don't have any money and I don't really mean it) otherwise you're just going to be a pain in the arse.

I've been doing this over a month. Why did you wait so long? Why did you wait at all?

That's why I asked if you were doing them or not, and by that I meant did you have the parts readily available and were you still working on them. If it's not, that's cool, I'll wait until the next mass order. I do have the money, I wouldn't express interest otherwise or much you around, because I bet it's time consuming as hell making them.

And the reason for the wait? I didn't have the money to spend at the time, and didn't think about the need for a booster. Now it seems inviting, but not inviting enough for you to waste time over me. Like I said, just consider me as a statistic for interest in whatever your next project is, if there is a next project.

Mike had already stated in the correct thread that he was no longer building them.

Perhaps I FAILed to read that part, or perhaps I just thought I'd get it from the horse's mouth, seeing as the horse was in this thread at the time. I was only asking. Mike had a salty response, but that's because I asked about the Salt Booster. I didn't fail. I am not a failure!

I wasn't that salty, I am getting bored of building them and it is a pain for me to keep getting stung by shipping costs and waits because people have been ordering in drips and drabs.

a) This isn't my job
b) I'm doing this as a favour to people
c) I am making no money from this.

I have another case and parts inbound so if you want one Malik, I can build you one. But you have to actually mean it, because if I go to the trouble of building it and you decide you can't pay because you're working a weekend in Wilko or your trousers have assimilated your wallet due to overtightness then I will find you and make you eat the booster.

Yeah, I understand that, but you could've been cooler about it. I enquired in the politest way possible, I said I'd fuck off if the answer was no, I expressed how awesome I thought it all was and that's why I was interested, and you told me it was irritating because of the hassle you'd have to go to, and that I was a pain in the arse for expressing said interest. I would've been happy with a "Sorry man, I'm getting pretty tired of it if I'm honest, and it's quite expensive to get the parts." or something like that. I can't think off the top of my head of any occasions where I've flaked out because I don't have the funds I say I have, anyway.

And I certainly would never flake out on someone who's actually making the product for me. I always pay well in advance if I'm buying something, that's the only fair way to operate.

Ranting aside, I would love to have one, as long as it isn't going to make you annoyed with me even more. I don't mind if it's £25 shipped or £35 plus shipping or if it's "fuck off I can't be bothered", just don't make out like I'm a bad buyer. :(

Stop being so oversensitive, you big WUSS.

You're on the list. Your case got ordered with a Small Bear order I put in today, as soon as that comes in with the 100K pots that accompany it I will have all the parts to make it. Head on over to the Booster thread in the Pub and tell me what you want in terms of:

1. Finish

Plain, or Shortscale stickers + lacquer = free
Prime/Orange/Lacquer = + £2

2. LED

- Orange/Blue/Red = free
- Purple = + £2.20
I can also get hold of Green from Maplin if you want for free, but I have Red, Blue and Orange "in stock"

Oh Mike you make me so ANGSTY. And then you act like it meant nothing at all.

I am going to the other thread now, and also fuck you for ordering me parts without me even explicitly asking for one.

I ordered those parts for my kit levels. If you don't want one I don't care either way, they'll just be parts I can use on the overdrive pedal I'm cooking up in my brain box.

Can it be put into writing that if Malik wants a Saltbooster he needs to be thrown into the sea?
