Orange Tiny Terror Sighting!!!!

Hey guys,

I'm glad that you've enjoyed the video of my boys that I uploaded to YouTube last week. Their cover of Nirvana has generated a lot of good will on the internet. It was especially fun for me to monitor a thread that WASN'T started by me!

The Tiny Terror sounds great for covers of Nirvana, AC/DC, Zeppelin, and The Wipers. Not surprisingly these are some of my boys favorite bands...and some of my favorites, too!

Sadly, last week the Tiny Terror lost all of its crunch/gain, and it seems that it's burning through new tubes in under a week. So it's back to the shop for repairs under the Orange warranty.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your TT, I haven't had any with mine but some people do mention decreased tube life. Hopefully they'll manage to get to the root of the problem for you - it's a superb amplifier.

One of my guitars is a short-scale Squier JagMaster II. He plays it occasionally, but has never really bonded with it. The Jaguar-like body is just too big and bulky for him to play comfortably sitting down, which is how the 2 of us jam together most of the time.

He's never been drawn to the Mustang shape even though he likes Cobain. But he and I both know that to properly "Kurtify" a Mustang or Jaguar you need to do the following: replace all single coils with HOT Seymour Duncans or DiMarzios; & rip out the floating trems and replace them with Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridges & stoptails (this generally means a 12" bridge profile on a 9.5" fretboard radius which is kinda funky).

Truth be told: he's saving up for a '61 SG Reissue! Only $3,200 MSRP!

Are u his guitar guru/instructor? This kid is gonna revolutionize the rock! I'm really quite impressed by his performance. Now that I think of it, it's a good thing that he has his preferences- it shows his knowledge for guitars.

I personally like the Jaguar single coil charm just fine. I don't see the need to throw humbuckers at it.

Nice. I wasn't aware of this model. I'm guessing that it was new for 2008. This would be a better value that buying something in Japan and then figuring out a way to get it across the Pacific Ocean and past the eyes of the Customs Officers...

I'd get the one pictured above, but I'd still replace the stock pups with DiMarzio's.

At least the Adjusto-Matic bridge would match the profile of the 9.5" radius fretboard, so I wouldn't have to bond with a neck that sports strings at a variable height from the fingerboard.
