Cables

Post by shae »

Hey guys... pretty straight forward question. I've had crappy cables since I was 16... I need to upgrade.
What cables would you recommend for the guitar->amp/pedals? And what would you recommend for patch cables?
eBay links, shop links, ect. all welcome as well as past experiences with the given cable(s).

Cheers and beers,
Shae.

I use Leem Hotlines, or Venom cables. Reasonablely priced and easily repaired.

I like my Venom. I've also taken a half-decent cable with cheap dodgy plugs and put Neutriks on 'em.

Thanks guys. I'll shortlist 'em and check them out. I hear a lot about the likes of Mogami and George L but for some reason I want something different... and not a curly cable. Just a different (read cheaper) alternative to George L's and the like.

planet waves are nice

most of my mogami cables have Neutrik Straight / G&H Right Angle plugs but I think that is pretty standard yes/no?

I hate planet waves with their stupid moulded jacks so you can't fix the cables. In fact any molded jacks is a straight no from me.

And also fuck their "Lifetime Guarantee", you still have to pay shipping and be without your cable for days/weeks. I'm not a fan.
