SHALL I DEW IT?

UGH........there's one at my guitar center right now for like $220. It's got humbuckers made with rails pickups, so like quad-buckers.........middle position should theoretically be 8 coils at once. The thing sounded like mushy ass. it was TERRIBLE. I had high expectations for RAWK POWARZ.bubbles_horwitz wrote:this one does. and is only $269.99Fran wrote:Despite the EVH connection Kramers are gay and the dont tote a Floyd at a price as close.
Cheers though
and lol at calling kramers gay while eyeballing a bc rich.
Not to mention the fact that the neck joint felt so flimsy on this particular guitar. You get what you pay for with musicyo shit.
Can't say I've ever played one let alone seen one in person. The Jacksons I've played were nice though.
One thing I'd say about that BC Rich that you're looking at is good luck finding a case for it that's cheaper than the guitar itself cost. Although you'd already be getting it at a bargain price anyway. Most of the well set-up BC Rich guitars I've played (just about anything over the bronze series) were good value and played well, even if some of them I really wouldn't be caught dead playing, although I get the feeling that's what you're going for here.
I think if/when I ever get a pointy metal guitar, it'll probably be one of the NJ Mockingbirds in natural finish.

Cheers. Yeah, i looked at the BC yesterday and besides the fact its hideous the finish and quality is very high. It is way over the top though, i'm not sure if i would have the balls to gig with yet.. sober anyway lol. I think the Jackson Rhodes models are more easier on the eye and will fit better with the visual/sonic contrast i'm trying to create. The BC may just be too over the top and could screw the whole concept up.Nick wrote:Can't say I've ever played one let alone seen one in person. The Jacksons I've played were nice though.

The thing is in this country, everything is morphing into the same thing imo, you have a legion of bands using Teles, even Metal bands. No one seems to want to take risks, its all very conservative. Not that my band are at any pro status but i want to break some umwritten rules and say "fuck the norm".
I actually have a softcase that it would fit in. One things for sure, a 'Coffin case' IS definitely out of the question.
i had one of these:

this this was as neck-heavy as a motherfucker.
when i got it, it had a single-locking floyd rose that went out of tune like none other. i then got a "real" floyd and set it up for one-string play. i spent about a week messing with that, then i traded it away.
i kinda miss the floyd for messing around on, but not for the tuning headaches when you put new strings on. it was a nice sounding, plywood guitar.
