fender racing stripe question

I got a spray bomb from the auto parts store , custom colour to match and painted the headstock. I could only find a fender cyclone decal , So I applied that , However I am not trying to pass it off as a Fender , I left the serial # etc on the back of the headstock and also left the Squier neck plate on. If I could have got a squier decal I would have . but anyway , just have to assemble and set it up now.

That's really beautiful.

Now that I know ALL about painting, I don't go there as often. But you have to realize that it's generally an older crowd, so they have more dough to burn. They do tend to dwell upon Strats and LPs. If you really want to try something smug and arrogant, try the Ric site.
