You guys really have no faith - ANYTHING is fixable with the right tools and techniques. Slash's LP has been broken in half 2 or 3 times; Townshend smashed his Gretsch to splinters and is still able to use it all the time. Both breaks were worse then this, and both were fixed to total playability.
It's gonna need a lot of reenforcement, but it will work. If done right, the glue joints will be stronger then the natural wood bonds.
new uhhhhh *project*

If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus
I think it'd be cool if you just decided to build a "master series" Mustang by ordering some awesome custom body/neck wood from places like Warmoth, USACG, etc. You already have all the "other stuff" to put into them, all you need to do is finish the new stuff in colors of your choice. You could even build yourself an "excalibur" in sonic blue!
I mean, give it a try to fix this thing, but it's going to be pretty hard to fix it given how extensive the damage is.

Slash has used the same LP Standard since 1986 - he even smashed it for a video in '92. The Gretsch is what you hear on most every early Who recording, and still gets used frequently.Ninja Mike 808 wrote:I thought they jus got new guitars? see the whole thing about excalibur is that there are I figure only about 500-1000 of these jagmasters made in sonic blue over the year and a half or so that they were out between 1996-97
they made mustangs in sonic blue from around 1992-01 with a red tort pickguard and then again in 03-05 with a brown tort pickguard. so there are 1000's of sonic blue mustangs laying around.
thats why i like the guitar so much. the rarity of it
