1976 Hagstrom Scandi
Some of youse might not have seen one of these as they only made like 500-600 and they didn't get sold in the US much before Hagstrom stopped making guitars. Johno thinks it's incredibly ugly, and I kinda agree with him, except that I love the whole seventies-ness of the yellowy natural finish and all-black plastics. It also plays great. The light switches are quite intuitive after a while and the guitar sounds bright and more like a Hag III than a Strat. The neck is also more managable and not ultra-thin like other Hags.

Utterly, I dig how completely unfashionable this guitar is, like a Gibson Marauder or S1. I'm really hoping for some reason this is a 1977 one, as that's the year of my birth, and all Fenders are terrible from then. Plus I also like those Jaguars with maple necks and black blocks.robert(original) wrote:i kinda dig that tho.
i think the whole natural with black 70's thing was cool looking.
that probly has alot to do with my love of block and bound jazzys and jags with black guards that people sanded the finish off.
Ah Mike, you know I would in a second, but it's the lovely Stacey's and she would tell me off!
