Yeah I remember his name. His second rig destroys everything I've ever owned in terms of value (or at least, the gear page value).
I hate people saying "my amp tech" like they're fucking hendrix when all they mean is that there is a guy in the local guitar shop who is the 'go to' guy when they're stuff breaks. Even if I owned the whole set of dwarfcraft I wouldn't call aen "my pedal guy" without feeling like a cunt.
Yeah "my amp tech" is definitely a poseur move. Which exactly what he is. I imagine he had the best Pokemon collection evar before discovering thegearpage.net

Why is the Vox on a cushion though? Is the ground not good enough for it?
The fact he has the most expensive shit available to man but doesn't have a £20 mini mic stand for micing his cab amuses me more. That and the mic position, which is too far from the cloth, at least for my liking. That and the multiple wraps on the boom to keep in "neat" which leaves a dangling cable across his path to the Vox. Muppet.

I am also pretty amused by the Mexican wrestling mask draped over the mic stand. Maybe he affords all this by moonlighting as "EL AMP TECHO".
it's obvious that he doesnt gig very often...his gear is far too clean for that. that means that he's just hoarding this shit. it also makes me mad cuz my parents dont buy me all this stuff...i actually have to work for it.

Markom - notorious on HCEFX a while back, and much mocked on Haunting Mids - his family must have more money than Croesus, but there is a HILARIOUS pedal demo that he recorded kicking around somewhere; he managed to make a £250 corksniffery pedal sound like a LA Metal, and his chops were ALMOST as bad as mine.
i was getting that way for a while. i had 16 pedals, i had 5 amps, a few guitars. not cheap stuff, but not booteek. then i realized i wasn't using it in a band or recording music, so i sold damn near all of it to help pay other bills and such and tuition.
I've been drooling over those swart ASTs for a couple weeks; I'd never actually buy one though.
I like how he says "good tone doesn't have to be expensive" about 2 posts down from the picture of at least $40,000 worth of gear. I feel guilty if I spend more then $30 on a pedal.
So, we meet up at the 7-11 'round the corner, I'll bring the ski masks...
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus
