BAM
4010 JCM800, 50W 1x12" combo

This amp is an early combo version of the 2204 head. It is electrically identical to the 4104. It was fitted with a Rola Celestion G12-65 T3054 15Ω speaker.

Hmm... 800s are on the rise at the moment and won't come back, so whatever you pay for it, within reason, you'll make back plus more.

Look at what 2204 heads are going for and subtract 20%. Combos are less desireable to most people, is the same circuit though.

I messed up the link. See it now.

I actually only have owned a valvestate back in the day that I loved, never had a tube Marshall. How are the cleans on these guys?

Not bad at all. People bitch about Marshall cleans but with the Master wide open and the preamp low you'll be more than happy.

Yeah $1000 is about right at the moment for JCM800s. So around $6-800 and you'll be in the right zone for this combo. Anything less than that is a bonus.

Actually the dude wants $1000 too for the combo, I might have to pass. Unless I can talk him down.

Yeah that's a bit much in my opinion.

Over here you'd expect £500 for the head and £350-£400 for the combo.

They used to go for £350 in head form and stupidly I never bought one when I had the chance. Those days are long gone now.
Although to be fair I have my Marshall crunch needs completely satisfied by my 6100.

Saw a combo go locally for £250 and kicked myself. >£100 is not an impulse buy.

I agree, still annoying to look back on.

You can get £700 with good auction for a JCM800 220X these days
