I couldn't work out what the second control from the left was, looked like someone playing paper, scissors, .... oh, yeah - ROCK!

The right-hand-most control seems to have the electronic symbol for a pot - how inventive.

But seriously, folks, I never got the whole Graphic thing even back when I used a borrowed Graphic 120. Someone tell me what it all means.

It clearly doesn't, the arrow isn;t at rightangles for a start. That's Gain - i.e. increased clipping of the wave.

The controls are:

Master Volume (can be switched out of the circuit)
HF Punch
Treble
Middle
Bass
Gain

Thanks, Mike.
"HF Punch"? Hmm. Is that their take on Presence?

Sort of.

it's more like an aggressive upper midrange boost that adds more gain as you dime it.

"the real weapon in the OR50's arsenal is the HF Drive control. This is two controls in one! As you turn the control clockwise you will hear the power amp presence increase whilst adding an extra dimension of power amp gain. Along with a foot defeatable master volume, this is truly one of the most versatile single channel amps ever created."

i thought that was the symbol for rheostat. at least that's what the us navy told me in their self-study electronics course i've been reading.

anyway, this amp looks so awesome. i'm not sure how the footswitchable master volume will work out, but it sounds like a cool idea.
the only way i could afford this is if i sold some stuff (including my bandmaster), and then put a large chunk on my credit card. i'm not sure if it's worth it.

You just use it as a way to get overdrive at reasonable volumes I think.

so is it really loud when off and then quiet, but overdriven when it's on? the orange website doesn't explain it very well.
i feel so embarrassed for this guy, but it sounds really good for the brief moment he uses a telecaster. and then it jumps right into a prs. shameful.

yeah I don't udnerstand the Footswitchable nature of it?

Maybe just have it on a bit less than full as your rhythm sound and then "defeat" it for your lead sound? Fuck knows.

I think it having a Master is good as you can use it to get dirty without dying, and I think the Footswitchable thing is just for the purists to want to know they can stomp and then it's OUT OF THE SIGNAL PATH.

Rob Chappers is my nemesis.
