At this price, why not a Strat? (or Flying V)

Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

It arrived. it looks hilarious.

The little solid state amp suffered a bit in transit. it's baffled has come unstuck and collapsed into the cabinet cavity, will investigate damage at home, haha.

I didn't pick it up and play it in the car park so I dunno whether it's fullscale or not, I've never played a V so I dunno.
Either way It's getting rocked out tonight as yes there will be a video demo.

This video demo is more highly anticipated than the latest indiana jones movie. Lets hope it doesn't turn out the same though i doubt it will.

The proper video might have to wait until tomorrow as my prority is finishing Malik's booster and working on Hurb's fuzz.

The Post Office is open on Saturday and Sunday. I absolutely can post them.

Chill your boots, like I said - you'll get something this weekend.

BTW. Don't be fooled by ebuyer's shipping prices. It was quoted £11.70 for next day, I said fuck that and went downthe list to like 7 working day delivery and it turned up after two days. Go figure. It was £5.99 shipping.

Aye. Does'nt that Ron Asheton dude in 'The Stooges' now play a Reverand Flying V? He's a fairly crunchy/clean player as well.

Honest mike... that looks fucking cool on you. The V is a weird guitar, you naturally associate it with Metal but in the right hands it looks cool with any genre of music, blues, indie,..
The 'neck bends' are worrying, i found that with cheaper guitars. You can almost drop a note a semi-tone by pushing the neck against the body, sometimes by accident. Either way its a bargain.
Needless to say i'll be digging mine out again over the weekend. I used it a few months ago at rehearsal and should use it more, its sentimental to me...

Yours is a lot higher quality. The neck bend doesn't bother me, I was pretty much doing it for effect. Just restrung and intonated it and it's behaving much better now.

Explorers are for people that wanted a V but chose a more conservative design. The V is the only way to go.
After the holocaust there will be two things on this earth remaining... the cockroach and the Flying V. Its the key to the future. Anyone that rocks a V live will never look back.
