This video convinced me to buy it.

And I'm listening to the new pillows album right now, oh reah.

Maybe my favourite will be my AVRI Jazzmaster once I change the bridge and PG.
Your progression seems a lot like mine. I had a Mustang for awhile, sold it to fund an AVRI Jazz, and haven't looked back.

Video of me/my mustang:

What you don't see is how frustratingly bad the bridge/trem was in comparison to the JM

I actually like the bridge on my Mustang.

I really need to change the bridge on my JM though.

What string gauge do you have on your JM? The bridge is very temperamental with .10s or lower, but once you get to .11 or higher it becomes very stable.

I'm using 10s right now because it's what I'm most comfortable with.

How well would a japanese pg fit on my avri?

My CIJ jaguar I bought in '98 is my friend, would be very upset to see it go, so much progression on it, so many gigs with it, my highest-quality recording session on it, looks and feels sweet and is super versatile after the partial kurdtzing I did to it. I'd take that to any jam of an unpredictable nature, cause I know it can do anything in a pinch. I gave it a new mustang bridge and plastic button kluson-style tuners recently, and it just won't stop ruling.

I played one of the new Classic Player Jags yesterday, and it reminded me of mine back when it had a TOM on it. The new radius and fret sizes didn't put me off as much as I thought they would.

I like this pic a lot... I dunno why.
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

That's fucking ace.

Mine would be my scratched and dented 1995 Ebony Gibson SG Special with a coil tapped Seymour Duncan Jazz in the bridge. I bought it off used from it's second owner, a kid who jacked the action all the way up to use it as a "slide guitar"... it's previous owner was some nu-metal fanboy who though hitting his guitar against all in sundry was "cool". I took it to a luither had a full set up done and it plays amazing. Gibsons can take allot of punishment.

However, this will be soon replaced by my Rickenbacker 330 Jetglo that I ordered brand new last week... I'll keep the Gibson SG though just will use the Rickenbacker 330 more...

Her name is Keira.

She's a 61' Gibson LG 0, all mahogany. She's got 3 repaired cracks, and a whole bunch of dings and marks everywhere but i love the tone and playability...this things got soul.
