YAS! I gots my dream bass! And it's GREEN!

Post by roachello »

I've been wanting this bass for quite a while now, and since I finally found it on ebay for a price under $800, I had to hop to! Aside from quite a number of scratches on the pickguard, the body and neck look quite new and it has 3 tone settings which are pretty different. The neck pickup expels the lowest notes while the bridge pickup sounds more "clean" similar to the sound when you play high notes on a Bass VI. It has binding throughout while entire bass from headstock to neck to the body. Block inlays, a cool tailpiece, seafoam green, it's shortscale... what else can a girl ask for?

YAY! Eastwood map bass!

That's sexy as fook! My girlfriend absolutely loves those things but she's opted for a Mustang bass instead for it's size.
I hope you enjoy your new purchase! Dig the colour, dig the vibe! :)

It's almost the same scale as a Mustang bass (Larger by 1/2 an inch). The oly Mustang is my usual bass, kinda like my standard when I get new basses, and this one definitely meets my standards. The Mustang's headstock has a bunch of knicks and chips in it from shows (I like to hit the crash cymbals with the headstock) so this one's gonna be the bass that I don't fuck up. The weight is balanced really well from the neck to the body. On a demo in youtube, it shows some guy balancing it on his knee. I tried it, and it worked! I didn't expect much out of the sound since this is my first Eastwood, but the low setting does the job and the higher tones are a plus!

We're trying to get into a selling spree in a bit, as well. Unfortunately I may have to get to ebay or craigslist if no one on the boards wants our stuff.

That's beeeyooooteeeeful!

What does the tone switch do? Is it a pickup selector, or some kind of Esquire type switching?

What do you think about the quality of the Eastwood guitars? I was thinking about getting one of their Mosrite copies...

I've got an Eastwood Mosrite copy and its one of most solidly built guitars I own. Very high quality chinese make. Loud punkish p90s. The only I problem I had was some tuning issues when using the trem as some of Roller Bridge saddles were sticking but a nice setup and some WD40 took care of that.
