why pay 800 for mim when you can pay $1200 for a "relic

Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

I dont think that guitar is selling......At least not for that price. Don't mind the neck at all, but the rest looks aweful.

"THE BUYER WILL BE THE FIRST PERSON TO PLAY THIS GUITAR. PROFESSIONAL SET UP, PLAYS NICE"

How does he know it plays nice if it hasn't been played.

Also is the auction supposed to have a fuckload of blank space in it, or is it my browser?

Reminds me of Turtles...
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

I saw this auction. What an idiot. How this buffoon can be so deluded that he would think people would pay a premium of hundreds of dollars for the privilege of having him destroy a new guitar's finish is beyond me.

Ugh, what the fuck. Poly doesn't do that, the "worn" spots look and probably are gouged out paint. That's terrible, he'll be lucky if he gets half that price for it after what he did to it.

Yeah those fake "Cracks" don't look too hot. He should just refin it, and make it a custom color now like Daphne Blue.

He probably meant the usual classifieds pitch "FIRST TO PLAY WILL BUY!!!" but that doesn't work with on-line auctions...

I sent him an email telling him he fucked up by relicing it, and he replied

"Thanks for the opinion, but not really needed. Rod"

Rod's a good name for him. Rat Rod. If you're going to do all that work, take it down to wood and do it in nitro. Remove all evidence of MIM. He is missing the beauty and point of MIM. We want affordable ones.

What happens to a person that makes them decide to go into business buying affordable guitars, damaging them, and selling them at an unaffordable price?
